AboutUpdates about my life. Try not to go too far back (there's a lot of stuff that was posted when I was in college...)
Vacation was amazing. I saw my best friends from college, the bf, my cousins, my dad, grandfather… Almost all of the important people in my life.
I experienced something that I kind of already knew in the back of my head: as much as I’m not really enjoying my job right now, 4 weeks is just too long to be on vacation. I can’t say I’m excited to go back to what I was doing… being on the rig, dealing with certain people, all that shtuff, but I am looking forward to getting back to being productive, learning, and my UAE friends.
I’m NOT looking forward to 26 hours of traveling… And it’s hard to leave the best place in the world: I LOVE California!
Is it possible that traveling made me more narrow-minded? I could just be homesick, but I’m desperate to go back to the US where I can focus on my job and not have to worry about the restrictions of being a woman. Hopefully my company will support me in these endeavors.
One week until I am done with work and can prepare for vacation… 9 days until I actually leave the UAE.
We had a rig move, nauseating. I got out of the running habit- shoot. My diet is making a comeback… I don’t have an appetite when it’s 115+ degrees outside (and humid).
I’ve about had enough of this prolonged offshore business- I’m getting quite uncomfortable here… Might be time for a change.
Vacation in 27 days… I can almost taste the freedom (is it sad that I consider not being at work freedom?)
Vacation is pretty much all booked… flights, hotels, cruise. 46 days to go.
I started running again… like every other day. Hopefully I’ll lose 4 more kilos before I hit the beach- yeah, kilos now ;)
I’m using the jawbone up since I can’t used my iphone (nike+) on the rig… to be honest, I prefer having my iphone. The company man told me that since I have an iphone 4 and an iphone 5, I should just get the camera removed from the 4 and bring it on the rig. We’ll see.
I think I’m getting sick… throat started hurting this afternoon. Better on the rig than in real life, I guess.
