whatever-you-sayy asked: Im thinking about going to LMU (if i can get in of course!). How did you like it??? Do lots of people go home on the weekends?
I’m obsessed with LMU… and sad that I just graduated. The four years I spent there were the best of my life thus far.
Some people go home on the weekends, but I never saw this as a problem. If you make friends that live nearby, you might get to visit them, and if not you can meet people from further away. I didn’t get a car until the middle of my junior year and this wasn’t really a huge problem either- just put yourself out there, make friends and you’ll be able to get where you need to go (there is also a free shuttle service on campus that takes to you to some pretty cool places so you don’t have to take advantage of people with cars). There are always SO MANY things going on in the freshman area (I was an RA there for two years), so you don’t have to worry about being bored. LMU is around 60% in-state, and 40% out of state, so you’ll get a decent mix of people.
